Ashley Margaret Anne Leggat was born in Ontario, Canada on September 26th 1986. The youngest and only girl of 5 siblings, Ashley grew up in love with the performing arts. She dances ever since the young age of 3 and always thought she'd dance professionally all her life plus grow up to be a teacher like her Mum. She stills wants a degree in teaching but life has driven her into the acting world and all her talent onto the very popular sitcom "Life With Derek"!
Right now, Ashley is having the best of both worlds enjoying the normal things of life and the celebrity-hood of being on a hot tv show (going strong in its fourth season), doing promo tours, being recognized down the streets and getting tons of fan mail!
The young actress has kept herself very busy every since discovered by an agent at a local teather in Hamilton, Theatre Aquarius. She started with recurring roles in series like "Real Kids, Real Adventures" amd "I Was a Sixth Grade Alien", and soon moved onto the big screen. On 2004 she landed the role of mean popular girl Marcia along Lindsay Lohan and Megan Fox on "Confessions of a Teenage Drama Queen". The next year she started "Life With Derek", which became a hit not only in Canada but in the USA. And that didn't stop her from getting involved in even more big projects, last year she stared in Canadian tv series "11 Cameras" and in currently in talks to do an other movie.
On her free time Ashley loves to hang out with her friends and family, play with animals, specially her three cats Baby. Punk and Furbee, and also getting involved in charity work. She's currently involved with the Garth Brooks foundation and wants to start a foundation for animals too. Ashley says she also loves all the normal stuff, shopping, traveling, reading, renting movies and sleeping.
