Life with Derek Heads to Disney Channel Japan

Disney Channel Japan has acquired the first 26 half-hour episodes of Shaftesbury Films’ live-action kids’ comedy series Life with Derek.
Life with Derek is about a modern blended family, which has forced together two willful teenagers, Casey (Ashley Leggat) and Derek (Michael Seater), each used to being in charge and each determined to keep it that way. IO: How’s the weather there? We heard you had some problems.
MICHAEL: Today and the last couple of days, the snow’s been going away and we thought that spring was on its way, and then I was in a studio doing a recording for the show. I walked outside and it was a complete blizzard. I just kind of wandered outside for a couple of blocks. Everything was snowed in and I didn’t know
what to do, so eventually I found my way home.

is currently the star of Canada’s Family Channel series Life With Derek. The show airs on Disney Channel in
the United States, and has been compared to the popular Brady Bunch series of 1970’s American television.
Ashley’s character, Casey MacDonald previously had the perfect life with her mother and younger sister, but when her mother remarries a man with three children of his own, she must change schools, move to a new house, and deal with new step siblings.
